Founded by high school STEM enthusiasts in New Rochelle, NR-USE began give younger students the guidance and encouragement they deserve to explore STEM. We hope to encourage a spirit of inquiry, build bridges between high school and younger students, and celebrate exploration together with out annual fair.
Co-President
My name is Carlos Del Aguila, and I'm a senior at NRHS. I've been affiliated with NR-USE for three years now—the same length of time that I've been involved in the high school Science Research Program. As someone who researches academic inequity, my goal as co-president of NR-USE is to allow every child to become a scientist, no matter where they come from or what they look like.

Hi, my name is Noah Rosencrantz. As an NR-USE mentee Alumni, I’ve always been drawn to physics and engineering because you can see their impact everywhere around you. Currently, I am especially interested in metamaterials and microwave sensing. Mentoring means a lot to me because it gives me the opportunity to help students develop their own passion for science, the same way my mentor did for me when I was in the program.
Vice President
My name is Breana, and I'm a senior at NRHS. My passion for science and research has shaped both my independent work on blood diseases, disorders, and cancers and my commitment to NR-USE. I value mentoring because I want to help students turn their curiosity into projects they're proud to present, and to create a supportive community where young scientists can grow with confidence.
Mentor-Mentee Supervisor
Hi, my name is Erin, and I am a senior at NRHS, studying the motor and cognitive effects of both stroke and cardiac rehabilitation. My love for science is evident through my research, and I am excited to share my passions with the mentees I will work with. Through NR-USE, I want to help students find their own passions, similar to how I found mine.
